About This Listserv This Listserv will be used by Inova Fairfax Alexandria in an effort to improve communications with the physicians. Physicians will receive department updates and Grand Rounds via this service. If you have not provided us your email, we encourage you to update your contact information including your email address. You may submit your update online, via fax, or via telephone. Frequently asked Questions Is subscription mandatory?
Yes. Since this list will not be used for marketing purposes, Inova Alexandria may force subscription to expedite communication. However, it is your responsibility to read information sent to you.
Can other list members see my email address?
No. When your department logs into a list, they will only be able to send
the messages to a list which does not display the members. This not only protects your email address from being visible to the department users, but it can also reduce the chances of recieving viruses that look for emails on infected PCs and automatically disseminating these malicious files.
Can a list member reply to me or all other members receiving
the emails?
No. No one will be allowed to reply to other list members. In other words,
you will not have to worry about getting too many emails because a few
members might want to share their ideas or responses. Nor will you be getting autoresponses from members that setup autoresponse during vacation times.
What information will be sent out?
Any information regarding meetings, Grand Rounds, CMEs may be disseminated
via this ListServ. However, important information and attachments may also be sent out.
